Hyattsville Vounteer Fire Company 1

1888 Hyattsville Volunteer Fire became the second fire organized in the county with a Water Barrel Engine and on February 5 1905 Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department became incorporated.

The Greater Capitol Heights Volunteer Fire Company No 2 was organized to replaced the disbanded Sydney Fire Company which was organized sometime during the early 20's,

February 5 1952 Laurel Rescue Squad changed its name to Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad
Bunker Hill Volunteer Company 55

On July 1, 2005 The Bunker Hill Volunteer was established to replace the old and outdated fire stations of the Cottage City/Colmar Manor VFC, the Mt. Rainier VFD (now known as the Bunker Hill VF&RC) and the Brentwood VFD.
