Shortly after 12:30 this afternoon firefighters from Branchville, Beltsville, Berwyn Heights and other surrounding departments were alerted for a house fire in the 4700 block of Nantucket Road

First arriving Engine 811 reported smoke showing from a one-story dwelling with report of a fire in the attic area of the house.

Firefighters enter the dwelling and located the fire, as firefighters from Truck Company 14 were opening up the roof, firefighters from the inside made a quick and aggressive attack on the fire and were able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation
