Shortly after 11:30 Sunday night July 18, 2010 firefighters from the Fourth Battalion were dispatched to the 6000 block of 10th Place in the Chillum area of the county for a reported house fire.

First arriving units reported heavy fire showing from a one-story house with all of the residents out of the dwelling.

With heavy fire coming from the dwelling firefighters mounted a very aggressive attack on the fire and was able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes of arriving on the scene.

A mother and three children have been displace as a result of the fire, no one was injured battling the fire and the cause of the fire is under investigation
